Typically, SMD LEDs offer a brightness of around 2 cd, whereas DIP plug-in LEDs achieve 6.5 cd. At the same brightness level, DIP plug-in LEDs consume only one-third of the power of SMD LEDs, while also offering greater stability, higher heat resistance, and larger chips.

Additionally, SMD LEDs provide finer image detail and better screen flatness compared to DIP plug-in LEDs. Therefore, as professionals, we typically recommend DIP plug-in LEDs for outdoor LED displays and SMD LEDs for indoor displays, based on client needs and product specifications. Other configurations are considered only in cases involving specific technical requirements, budget constraints, or other factors.
